G-VE

Community text updates

During account registration, people who provide a mobile number may separately choose whether to receive occasional G-VE community text updates. This is the exact SMS consent shown on the registration form:

The SMS checkbox is separate from the required account agreement, unchecked by default, and optional. A person can create and use a G-VE account without selecting it.

How consent is collected

G-VE offers two website registration paths. Both begin on the public registration page and show the same separate, optional SMS consent displayed above.

  1. Email registration: the person enters their account information and mobile number, then may voluntarily select the SMS checkbox before submitting the registration form.
  2. Google registration: the person selects “Sign up with Google,” authenticates with Google, and is then shown G-VE's phone onboarding form. They enter their mobile number and may voluntarily select the same SMS checkbox before continuing.

In either path, the person's checkbox choice is recorded when the form is submitted. A one-time phone verification message used to secure the account is separate from consent to recurring community updates and does not enroll the person in this campaign.
